A recording of the recent GEOHEX project webinar, ‘Heat Exchange and Durability Performance of Novel Coatings’ is now available to view online.
The online event took place on 10 May 2023, with Professors Halldór Pálsson and Sigrun Nanna Karlsdottir of the University of Iceland both presenting on the day.
The performance of heat exchangers is important for the use of geothermal energy in power production; maximising heat transfer to improve performance as well as improving resistance to scaling and corrosion.
This webinar offered details of experimental testing of heat exchanger materials with different surface coatings to evaluate any resulting performance improvements.
The sample surfaces were tested and analysed thoroughly to assess potential use in real industrial conditions.
